We have kept having different kinds of classes, seminars and workshops of Zen Shiatsu Therapy for professional acupuncturists and Shiatsu practitioners since the starting of this association. The main purpose of those schooling activities is to teach proper techniques of Shiatsu as an education post graduation. In Japan, it is very diificult for students to master real clinical techniques because of the programs of those special schools for professional Shiatsu and acupuncture therapists. They need to learn and brush up by themselves and to get skillfull through their own clinical experiences after their graduation. However, the present status is severe for them. Even if they become licensed therapists, they can hardly get oppotunities to learn proper techniques for clinical use. Therefore, we have started to have Zen Shiatsu seminars regularly in Tokyo and other cities since 1987.
